Fishery Bay Surf Riders

The club was formed by Trevor White around 1961.

Fishery Bay was the first surfriders club formed in South Australia.

The boys from Fisheries club ran one of the first surfing events in South Australia at Fishery Bay in 1962 which was attended by surfers from Adelaide. They also ran surf carnivals in 1963 at Sleaford Bay and Mt Greenly.

These guys also pioneered most of the tracks and roads that lead to the surf breaks on lower Eyre Penninsula.

As you can see from the photos the club was all about good times.
